Mothering Sunday on Parade


In the middle of Lent, Mothering Sunday offers a colourful break.
Members of our admirable uniformed organisations presented not only their flags
but also a display to mark the centenary of the Cub Scout movement.
They led the prayers and gathered round the altar for the consecration.
We were treated to a participating sermon and the usual distribution of flowers to
celebrate mothers in church and everywhere - and our mother church.
