'Oh yes it is...!

The third week in February marked the half-term school holiday, and the final week of self-indulgence before the beginning of Lent. As good a time as any to stage the third United Benefice Dramatic Society pantomime: 'Robinson Crusoe'!

The fun had begun as long ago as last summer, with auditions and casting. Rehearsals, under the benevolent but watchful eye of producer Brian Williams, began last autumn and culminated in six sell-out performances between 18th and 22nd of February. A great time was, as they say, had by all, with lavish supplies of corny jokes, colourful costume, dazzling lighting, nimble dancing, and of course the obligatory over-acting to entertain children and adults alike. Our pantomimes, now well and truly established, are a real team effort, bringing together the talent of two churches and parishes on stage, back stage and 'front of house', and seem to have become a local community tradition.

Below and on the linked pages are a selection of pictures, and, following these, the information supplied on the programme to help site visitors identify those responsible (and in some cases irresponsible!)
