Aboard for the 2008 Holiday Club!
The 2008 Summer
Holiday Club for children of the church and the parish began on Monday
July 28th.
The theme for this
year, as you might guess was.... PIRATES!
As usual, the 50 or so children lucky
enough to get places in this year's club were divided into four groups,
according to their age, and embarked
upon an action-packed programme of activities in the church hall and
beyond.
The first day was given over to
group
activities in the Hall - and a spot of early dressing up!
On Tuesday morning, everyone decamped to nearby Merchant Taylors' School playing field,
where the helpers from the Sefton Sports Bus team provided a morning of fun and games.
The sun shone, and the helpers could relax for a while, serve
refreshments and deal with the inevitable
war wounds.
The afternoon was to see a visit to the Botanical Gardens at Southport.
