SAINT FAITH'S PARISH DIRECTORY |
. FINDING SAINT FAITH'S .
We are in Great Crosby, on the A565, which is the main road running north from Liverpool to Southport.
The church is at the junction of the A565 (Liverpool Road) with Kingsway and with College Road, and is diagonally opposite the grounds of Merchant Taylors' School, whose prominent tower is a local landmark.
If you are coming from the south (from Liverpool city or via the Mersey Tunnel exit), head north for Southport on the A565. After passing through Bootle, and going over the flyover at Seaforth, you will enter Crosby and eventually find Saint Faith's on the right at traffic lights, with Merchant Taylors' School prominent to your left beyond. If coming in from Southport, head south through Crosby village towards Liverpool, and look for us on the left just after passing Merchant Taylors' on your right.
Coming in from further afield, the main routes (A59 from Preston
via Ormskirk; M58 from the M6; M57 from the M62) all converge at
the end of the M57/M58 motorways ('Switch Island'). From here
follow the A5036 Bootle dual carriageway to the Seaforth flyover
to join the A565 Southport/Crosby road as detailed above.
Buses from the Liverpool and Southport directions run along the
A565, stopping at or opposite the church. Services X2, 47, 63 and
54 currently pass the church.
Frequent trains run from Liverpool Central and Moorfields, to Southport, stopping at Waterloo station in South Road, from where it is a ten minute walk (or a short connecting bus ride from the main road) to the church.
