David Emmott Fr David Emmott's last (paid!) job in the Church of England was as Team Vicar at Liverpool Parish Church (Our Lady and St Nicholas). He retired six years ago and since then has been kept busy on the diocesan team of spiritual directors, deputising for absent clergy, learning Italian, avoiding DIY, and enjoying holidays. He originates from West Yorkshire but has spent most of his ordained life in and around Liverpool apart from eleven years in South London. Married to Lynn, they have two grown-up daughters.
